Before/After: Two Narrow Mudrooms Fixed

Project 1: the 4-foot hall (48 inches long × 36 inches wide). Before the fix: hooks crammed behind the door, boots and backpacks stacked on the floor, and not a single surface anywhere. After: a 12-inch-deep slim bench centered on one wall with a boot tray pulled underneath, an over-door rack on the entry door for leashes and hats, and a 6-inch shelf above the bench for keys, mail, and sunglasses. Resulting clearance: a full 24-inch walkway running end to end, and the door still swings completely open. Total floor footprint of the entire setup: 12 inches.

Project 2: the 7-foot hall (84 inches long × 29 inches wide). Before the fix: a free-standing coat rack dead center, forcing everyone to shoulder past it.
